Modula Announces New Gutenberg Gallery Building Experience

We use Modula for image galleries here at Ahoi.dev. So we are more than happy about the upcoming updates for the WordPress image and video gallery plugin – especially the Gutenberg gallery building experience.

Upcoming New Features

The Modula team is very close to releasing its new Gutenberg-powered gallery building experience, which will be released in early Q1 2024. It has been completely redesigned and rebuilt from the ground up. The good news is that filters, search and tagging will also be coming to Gutenberg. They aim to build this on a 1:1 parity feature with their existing custom gallery builder.

Also coming in Q1 2024, Modula will improve its filters and search options, making it a breeze to navigate through your galleries. The filters, search and tagging will be revamped and will work for both image galleries and albums. Stay tuned!

Image SEO Acquisition

Finally, WPChill, the company behind Modula, has recently acquired Image SEO from the WP Umbrella team. It allows you to optimize the alt texts and names of your images with SEO friendly content.

KaliForms Integration

Creating galleries is now even easier with KaliForms. To make it easier to create galleries from form submissions, Modula has teamed up with the WordPress form builder plugin.
