Welcome to the 36th issue of The Pier. As you may already know, we use the fantastic Newsletter Glue plugin to create The Pier newsletter directly in the WordPress editor. With release 2.3.0, the editor has been updated to include the brand new v3 blocks for Gutenberg to ease the transition to version 3.0.

SureCart 2.18 has finally introduced one-click upsells, allowing you to add post-purchase sales funnels to your checkout flow, currently in beta. The team is currently working on tax overrides, invoice prefixes, order bumps/upsell statistics, upsell quantity controls, affiliate coupons and overrides and more.

  • Stackable 3.12.11 now supports YouTube shorts and unlisted Vimeo videos in the video popup block for Gutenberg.
  • Gravity PDF releases Core Booster 2.0 for Gravity Forms, introducing adjustable page margins, a new Field Choices layout, better support for Gravity Wiz Populate Anything and extra CSS Ready Classes for customizing individual fields.
  • Kadence adds 9 new languages to Kadence AI, extending the AI content creation capabilities beyond English (currently in beta).
  • Groundhogg 3.3 introduces an inline text editor block and a new test method called Functional Test to simulate a real email from the testing tool in the email editor. To test inbox compatibility and design, you can use the default Design Test method.
  • ACPT releases RC4, the last release candidate before the official launch of version 2.0 of the new custom post type framework.
  • FireBox introduces three new Gutenberg blocks created exclusively for the WordPress popup builder plugin, including advanced countdown timers, videos and interactive maps.
  • MailOptin now integrates with Flodesk, allowing you to add email subscribers to your email list from your WordPress site.
  • Tutor LMS Pro 2.6.1 adds API functionality for submitting and retrieving lists of added quizzes.
  • Blockstudio 5.4 introduces block extensions, which allow you to extend any Gutenberg block with all available fields, a new code field type and nested tabs.
  • WP Appointments announces to release the beta in early March.

  • Lightfunnels releases new Magnet app, that makes it easy to import products from AliExpress, Shopify, Amazon, and CJdropshipping.

Video Conferencing

  • Sessions now allows you to send email via a custom SMTP server, edit notes in Memory, pin messages to transcripts and clone booking pages.

Image Optimization

  • ShortPixel launches new $9.99/month Unlimited plan for an unlimited number of websites, including support for WebP/AVIF creation.

Hosting

  • Nexcess and Liquid Web join forces as one brand.

Interactive Animations

  • The Rive Cloud Renderer now supports exporting an artboard as a single PNG or SVG while in Design mode, and exporting an animation as an SVG sequence while in Animate mode. SVG options are available in Pro, Team & Enterprise plans.

Email Builder

  • Topol.io now seamlessly integrates with MailUp, MailerLite, Acumbamail, GetResponse, Zoho Campaigns and Zoho Mail. In addition, the new Product Feeds feature allows you to easily populate your newsletters with the latest products.
