Welcome to the 42nd issue of The Pier. SureCart has reached another milestone. Out of 60k plugins, the e-commerce platform for WordPress is in the top 2k WordPress plugins in terms of usage, with 50% growth this year alone. SureCart 2.22.0 simplifies affiliate management, allowing you to link an order to an affiliate, link a customer to an affiliate, and create affiliate coupons. You can now also manage affiliates directly from the plugin admin, edit lifetime and subscription commissions, and disable zero dollar commissions.

Breaking News: Just before this issue of The Pier went to virtual press, Gijo from FlyingPress revealed that FlyingCDN is now powered by Cloudflare Enterprise!

WP Grid Builder has announced the release of the first beta of version 2.0, with even more powerful query, layout and filtering capabilities. Existing customers can now download it from their account for testing in a local/staging environment.

🤙 HeyReach Webhooks & API

The HeyReach team has announced the launch of the webhooks and API feature for its LinkedIn outreach platform, currently in beta.

This allows you to connect HeyReach to your favourite third party tools. For example, you can now import leads from Clay and Apollo, or go multi-channel by integrating with Instantly and Smartlead via webhooks.

  • Nick from Elegant Themes shares an update on Divi 5, specifically front-end performance tuning, dark mode, UI, global colours, Divi presets and layers view.
  • BBQ Pro 3.7.1 adds support for multiple alert email addresses.
  • WP All Import is finally moving to a subscription-based pricing model. Lifetime licences are no longer available.
  • InstaWP 2.30 adds on-demand backup and options to clone InstaWP Live sites and add multiple domains for hosted sites.
  • Conditional Blocks Pro 3.1.1 adds a new Meta Box integration with custom field values.
  • Greenshift 8.6 adds new options to enable four breakpoints for Blocksy and a start rating style in the progress bar, as well as support for the WP 6.5 font manager.
  • Blocksy 2.0.38 introduces a new WP CLI command to install a starter site in one step.
  • MemberPress Courses adds 4 new question types, minimum passing scores for students and gives underperformers a second or third chance with quiz retakes.
  • Spectra is now fully compatible with WordPress 6.5.
  • WPBeginner launches new Pro services with WordPress site design and development, maintenance and more.
  • RoadMapWP is now available in the WordPress plugin repository, allowing you to gather feedback and create user-driven roadmaps.
  • Enrique Chavez launches WP CLI Dev as a modern, user-friendly alternative to the official WP-CLI documentation.

Screen Recordings

  • Screen Studio 2.22 introduces a new dedicated keyboard shortcut timeline and a new option to display individual keyboard shortcuts on a recording. You can also select a new default location for saving Screen Studio projects in the settings.
  • Loom enters into an agreement to be acquired by Atlassian.

QR Codes & Short Links

  • Pixel now lets you create vcards, also known as electronic business cards, to quickly share contact details with a friend, colleague, client or prospect. You can also upload PDFs and associate them with your links and QR codes.

Social Media Management

  • Nuelink now allows you to schedule document carousels on LinkedIn or automatically convert your image carousels into a document carousel when shared on LinkedIn. The X/Twitter thread editor has also been redesigned.

AI

  • TypingMind adds support for Gemini Ultra and Gemini 1.5 Pro as well as three new built-in plugins, including Stable Diffusion image to generate images similar to DALL-E, Web Page Reader to read the contents of web URLs, and Market News to get news from stock/crypto markets.

WooCommerce

  • After a year of development, Vishal from Tyche Softwares proudly announces the release of Booking & Appointment Plugin for WooCommerce in version 6.0. It comes with a new look & feel and a few enhancements to make the booking experience and managing bookings on your Woo Store a breeze.
  • PT Woo Plugins releases Simple Custom Fields, which allows you to add custom text, select and checkbox fields to the new WooCommerce block-based checkout.
  • Michael from WC Vendors shares his knowledge on marketplace revenue maximization and vendor performance incentives.
