Welcome to the 43rd issue of The Pier. This week, Slim SEO Link Manager 1.9 has improved the way suggested links are inserted into WordPress posts. Previously, you could only insert links from new posts to existing posts, improving the rankings of the existing posts but not the new ones.

In this version, you can add links both from the new post to existing posts, and from existing posts to the new post. This way, the new post will have internal links and will rank faster. In other news, they have also added support for TranslatePress, allowing you to analyse and update links from translations, including slugs (in the Pro version).

  • SearchWP Live Ajax Search 1.8.0 adds search forms, support for SearchWP custom search sources and new customization options to the Live Ajax Search settings page.
  • The beta version of MaxiBlocks Theme will be launched on the 17th of April.
  • Automattic acquires Beeper, a universal chat app with more than 115,000 users.

  • Lightfunnels enhances its AI-powered chat widget with a new order enquiry handling feature. Customers can now easily view their order details, tracking links, billing information and fulfilment status.

  • Gist now lets you choose between anonymous, random and specific contacts when sending test emails, so you can see exactly how your emails will look to your recipients.

Digital Signage

  • Juuno is a digital signage platform that allows you to share and schedule engaging content to any screen, from anywhere in the world. The lifetime deal ends on 26 April. Stack screens for a one-time fee of just $19.

  • Following the redesign of their website last month, the MailCoach team also announces a beautiful new UI for the hosted and self-hosted app, including a revamped design for email automation.
