Orderable is a new WooCommerce plugin that allows you to accept pickup or delivery orders for food, products or services from your local brick-and-mortar store. With custom tipping and in-cart quantity adjustments, Adam just announced their first product update.
Tipping is an important part of the personal shopping experience. Therefore, tipping at the checkout is also needed for a local ordering system. The Orderable team has developed the most flexible tipping solution for local ordering. It will soon be available as a free update for all Pro users.
You can pre-configure tip amounts for your customers to select with a touch-first interface. This will help you generate more sales for each of your local orders.
In-Cart Quantity Adjustments & More
Due to popular demand by their user base, they added another feature that allows your customers to change product quantities in the WooCommerce slide out cart.
They also added touch product layouts which allows customers to add an item to the cart by clicking anywhere on the product card. On mobile devices, customers no longer have to waste time trying to click the little “Add to cart” button. It is now also easier to customize the look and feel of the product cards in terms of font size. Finally, more options for the positioning of the cart icon have been added.
In version 0.2 Orderable added ASAP dates and/or time slots. For their delivery date, customers can select “as soon as possible” which will then select the first available date and time. However, admins can also choose “as soon as possible” only for time slots. That way, the first available time slot will be selected for the customer on their chosen date.
What’s next? They will soon start work on the custom checkout experience optimized for mobile and local ordering. They are planning to have several checkouts to choose from, inspired by the most popular online ordering platforms. Stay tuned!
