Ploi Rolls Out Scheduled Deployments

Ploi, an alternative to Laravel Forge, has just announced the launch of a new feature to simplify your deployment process. The server management tool now comes with scheduled deployments.

Managing deployments can sometimes be a juggling act. Coordinating different teams, coping with different time zones, or simply wanting to schedule updates during off-peak hours. Fortunately, Ploi is here to help!

As the name suggests, scheduled deployments allow you to plan deployments ahead of time and then let Ploi do the rest. Whenever an error is detected, you can optionally roll back to the previous commit that was successfully deployed.

They have also added the following two new deploy script variables for deploy script logic implementations:

  • {ANY_DEPLOYMENT_SCHEDULED} will return 1 or 0 if there’s a deployment scheduled.
  • {DEPLOYMENT_SCHEDULED_AT} will return the first scheduled deployment date.

You can even use the Ploi API to schedule your deployment.

In other news, the Ploi team has added a new insight to check if your OPcache is full.
