There is good news regarding multi-tenant setups on Ploi. A site (or tenant) can now have multiple SSL certificates. You can install multiple certificates side by side — for example, Let’s Encrypt, ZeroSSL and an uploaded certificate — and switch between them with a single click of a button.

Requesting a new certificate does not affect your live configuration until you activate it. This makes replacing a certificate a zero-risk operation: the old certificate stays installed and can be reactivated at any time.

Each certificate has its own set of files on the server, and the expiry date is read per certificate (not just the one being served). Requests that die halfway through are no longer left in limbo. The API has grown alongside this development: certificate responses now expose the active state, and there is a new activate endpoint.

Tenants now have their own section in the site menu and the overview has been fully redesigned. Each tenant now displays a live status while being installed or removed. The list is paginated and searchable.

In other news, Ploi now allows you to request a tenant certificate that includes the www variant with a single checkbox. Additionally, changing a site’s system user now correctly rewrites all tenant configurations.
