Shopify Checkout On Your Own Custom Domain Now Available
Shopify is about to enable a feature for the Shopify Checkout that will increase credibility for merchants. Say hello to custom domains for checkouts.
Shopify Checkout Domain
By the end of July 2017, the checkout will no longer be redirected to checkout.shopify.com. Instead, it will remain on your own custom branded or myshopify.com domain.
If you don’t have a custom domain yet, you can purchase one at any domain name registrar such as Namecheap or in Shopify.
This feature is free for all merchants and available on all Shopify plans. Please note that the corresponding documentation will be updated by the end of July.
Shopify Plus Benefits
Shopify is providing a free SSL certificate to all merchants. In Shopify Plus plans, however, an Extended Verification (EV) SSL certificate is now included free of charge! This really adds an extra level of trust to your online store. Also, you can customize the look & feel as well as the code of your checkout.
