Voxel Announces Custom Prices, Availability Search & Booking Actions

Arian from Voxel has just announced a new Custom Prices feature along with an improved availability search and booking actions for their WordPress theme, coming later this week. Voxel allows you to create dynamic WordPress sites such as business directories, accommodation and rental booking platforms with multi-vendor and appointment booking features.

Custom Prices

Custom prices is available for both regular products and booking products, although the behaviour is slightly different:

• For regular products, the custom prices will modify the pricing of the product on that particular day.
• For booking products, the price per day/price per night will change for dates that can be booked in advance. For example, you can change the price of an accommodation for weekends or use it to implement seasonal pricing.

All prices associated with this product can be changed, including the base price and discount price, as well as the price of individual add-ons. If a custom price is left blank, the default price will be used.

Custom prices are integrated with various filters such as availability filter, price filter and various filters related to add-ons.

Availability Search

Voxel has integrated the new custom prices feature into the availability search, dynamically updating the product price in the search results. The price is also dynamically updated when using add-on based filters.

In addition to filtering, the selected filters will automatically populate the product form on the product page.

Booking Actions

Once a booking request has been approved, the following actions are available:

• Add to Google Calendar,
• Add to iCal,
• Cancel booking, and
• Reschedule (coming soon).

Note that the above actions can be enabled or disabled separately for vendors and customers on the Product Type Booking tab.
