WPML: Announcing The End Of Lifetime Plans + New Features
Today, the WPML team announced the end of WPML Lifetime plans. The reason is quite simple. Their current support team of 35 members will not be able to cope with the increasing demand sooner or later – if they continue selling Lifetime plans that is. Thus, they will transition their business model to a more sustainable one.
End Of WPML Lifetime Plans
In several weeks, they will stop selling new Lifetime accounts and also stop offering upgrades to these plans. Instead, they will be replaced by automatically-renewing yearly payments.
However, all clients with existing Lifetime accounts will be grandfathered in. That means that they will continue getting support and updates for life without any additional charges. Now is the time to grab a Lifetime account while they are still available. Please note that this upcoming change also affects the renewal or upgrade options of yearly accounts.
