Amasty: M2 Extensions Now Compatible With GraphQL

In Magento 2.3 you can create a progressive web application (PWA) based on your online store. Such stores work faster, have responsive design and can be reached offline. To meet PWA standards, Amasty made their extensions compatible with GraphQL.

GraphQL

GraphQL is a syntax that helps to request and push data via an API in progressive web applications. Developers use it instead of the REST API because it makes stores work faster.

Working with GraphQL, you can indicate what data you expect from the server and get exactly what you’ve asked for. The REST API, however, extracts a bunch of information totally irrelevant to the query. So GraphQL reduces the number of queries to the server, which improves its performance. It means the results will be delivered faster for users and lagging will be reduced to a minimum.

Compatible M2 Extensions

The following Magento 2 extensions are already compatible with GraphQL:

  • M2 Automatic Related Products
Helps customers dive into your catalog by showing products related to the one they are exploring.
  • M2 Custom Form
Helps to create forms with no HTML skills. Useful to ask for product reviews and customers’ interests.
  • Blog Pro for M2
Helps to create a blog right in the Magento admin panel and engage customers to the store.

Next in line are Mega Menu and Shop by Brand for Magento 2.
