Breakdance 3.0 – Easily Build WordPress Sites Via AI Agents

Louis from Breakdance has just announced version 3.0 of the visual website builder for WordPress, which is currently in beta and is called ‘The AI Update’. Let’s find out more!

The AI Update

Breakdance 3.0 enables AI agents to build WordPress sites directly within the website builder. First, you install the Agent Connector plugin and connect an agent, such as Claude Code or Codex, to WordPress via MCP (Model Context Protocol).

Then, you prompt the AI agent to build the site’s pages, templates, headers, footers, selectors, variables, responsive styles and dynamic data. Meta Box and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) are also supported. The AI creates Breakdance elements that you can edit manually, with forms that can be configured to email you and store leads in your database.

Version 3.0 also adds native support for CSS variables and a rebuilt selectors panel, as well as fundamental elements such as containers, text, images, text links and SVG icons.

Additionally, Breakdance has renamed the Breakdance AI add-on to Breakdance AI Writing Assistant, in order to distinguish it from agent-based site building.
