Oxygen 6.2 – Build WordPress Sites With AI Agents
Elias from Oxygen has just announced the release of version 6.2 of its visual builder for WordPress, designed with developers in mind. It’s called the ‘MCP Edition’.
The MCP Edition
With Oxygen, you can now use an AI agent to build and edit WordPress sites. Simply connect your agent to your WordPress site and instruct it to create a website for you.
It works via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), supporting Claude, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, Cline and Gemini CLI, among others. You can continue to use your existing instructions, skills and workflows, and Oxygen will become just another tool that your agent knows how to use.
In Oxygen 6.2, your AI agent can:
- Create pages, templates, headers, footers and components, and control where they are displayed,
- Apply styles using your site’s existing selectors, CSS variables and breakpoints,
- Bind content to dynamic data from WordPress, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or Meta Box and build repeaters and posts loops,
- Add interactions and animations to any element, and
- Build forms including fields, messages, redirects and actions that run after submission.
Overall, Oxygen Builder is also faster in version 6.2, with improvements having been made to page loading, element rendering and dynamic data.
PS: With Breakdance 3.0, you can now also build WordPress sites using AI agents.
