Descript Announces Storyboard

Descript just unveiled their biggest update to date: A complete redesign of the popular audio/video editing tool built around a transformative new way of making video.

Descript Storyboard

The big innovation is a new feature called Scenes that lets you divide your video into clips by simply tapping the forward-slash key and then arranging all the other elements such as b-rolls, subtitles, and titles as you would in a slide deck.

They also announced a whole range of other new features, including templates (layouts, title sequences, and social clips), premium stock media (videos, images, sound effects, and music tracks) and multitrack screen recording.

Additionally, you will get access to a green screen feature with AI background removal, new transitions and animation controls, new clip properties, and more.

Podcasters will love the streamlined editing of multitrack sequences, improved Overdub and Studio Sound, a dark mode, a slip tool, custom audiogram templates, and more.

Storyboard is currently in a closed preview release but will be rolled out in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
