DigitalOcean Introduces Custom Images
DigitalOcean just excitedly announced the availability of Custom Images on their cloud computing platform. This has been one of the most requested features by their customers. Now you can use your own custom OS images to power your Droplets.

Custom Images
With Custom OS Images, you can deploy your preferred OS environment on DigitalOcean. In addition, you can import virtual appliance images and choose any sized Droplet needed to power those appliances.
You can easily upload your image through the Control Panel, where it will be stored on highly available, persistent block storage. Once uploaded, you can use the image to provision Droplets through the UI, API, or doctl CLI.
The Custom Images feature is free of charge. However, the storage of your image is priced at $0.05/GB per month.
