Formidable Forms: New Honeypot Spam Protection for Contact Forms
Since their launch, Formidable Forms has helped to protect your contact forms against spam via Akismet and reCaptcha integrations as well as comment blacklists. Due to popular demand, they have now introduced a new method called honeypot spam protection.

Honeypot protection allow you to protect all your online (contact) forms. No matter if you are using the Formidable Forms Pro or Lite version. Good news: There is no need to configure any settings, because there are none.
How does it work?
Actually, this spam protection method is quite simple yet powerful. It adds an extra field to your forms. This field, however, is only visible to spambots but not to human users. Thus, spambots will insert a value and Formidable Forms will instantly mark this entry as spam and block it.
Soon they will add an extra layer of protection by implementing Invisible reCAPTCHA by Google. Stay tuned!
