If you are running a business you should not just focus on revenue but also on costs to actually see your profit. Good news for WooCommerce and Shopify admins: Metorik’s brand-new costs and profit system is here to help. It allows you to manage your costs directly in Metorik.

When you first set up your new cost system, you have the option of importing your existing product costs from either WooCommerce or Shopify. However, you can also set and update them completely from scratch in Metorik. If you have a shop with a large number of products, you can use the cost importer at any time to import a CSV.

In addition to product costs you can also set shipping, transaction, or any other extra costs. For shipping and transaction costs you can even define rules based on countries, shipping methods, and shipping amounts as well as fixed and percentage amounts for payment methods.

Once done, you’ll get access to loads of new reports. Simply check out the new costs and profit dashboard to get an overview including revenue, cost, profit, and margin metrics for any given period. However, the profit report gives you a deeper insight into the figures with charts on net profit, costs and profit margins over time.

Finally, Metorik’s segmentation system can be used to segment orders by cost and display cost/profit totals for the segment. Of course you can also export orders with their costs.
