Announcing New Shopify Pricing Plans
Effective 30th May 2016, Shopify recently announced some changes to their pricing plans in terms of names, staff restrictions and prices. Merchants of the SaasS ecommerce platform can enjoy new features and functionality as well as bug fixes every single day. However, there have only been a few sporadic changes to their plans in the past. Thus, it’s been about time…
New Shopify Plans
- Starter plan: This plan has been discontinued
- Lite: The new “Shopify Lite” plan has a limit of 1 staff account (in addition to the owner’s account)
- Basic: The new “Basic Shopify” plan has a limit of 2 staff accounts (in addition to the owner’s account)
- Professional: The new “Shopify” plan has a limit of 5 staff accounts (in addition to the owner’s account)
- Unlimited: The new “Advanced Shopify” plan has a limit of 15 staff accounts (in addition to the owner’s account); Price increase to $299
- Shopify Plus: No changes
Above changes and new plans will not affect existing merchants unless they decide to change their shop’s plan. All existing merchants will be grandfathered and remain on the plan they are currently on and continue to pay the same price going forward.
