New Customer Email Templates at Shopify
Shopify, a pretty popular SaaS ecommerce platform, has updated their customer email templates a few days ago.
Improved HTML Email Templates
Shopify merchants now have access to improved default HTML email templates and a new brand setting UI which allows to customize them with ease in terms of logo uploads, logo image size and accent colour.
Also you can add the {{ custom_message }} tag to the code of the following templates if you want additional content to be shown. This can be edited when sending the email.
- Draft order
- Contact customer
- Abandoned checkout
- Account creation
New Notification Templates
On 14th June 2016, Shopify will release two additional email notification templates including “Shipment out for delivery” and “Shipment delivered”.
CSS Inlining
To improve the customer email workflow, the editor now inlines any style tags in the template automatically via Premailer. As media queries will be preserved, you will be able to create responsive emails much easier.
