WPCodeBox Introduces New Snippet Manager & MCP Support

Ovidiu from WPCodeBox has just announced version 1.4.0 of the WordPress code snippets plugin, which introduces new ways to organize your snippets, connect AI tools and ensure your code runs smoothly.

New Features

Let’s take a quick look at what’s new in WPCodeBox 2 v1.4.0:

• Snippet Manager: Browse, search, filter and organize your snippets in a dedicated library view with cloud browsing and one-click downloads.
• Tags & Bulk Actions: Tag, move, enable, disable or delete multiple snippets, and organize them using drag-and-drop.
• AI access through MCP: Connect compatible AI clients to work with your snippets. Read tools are enabled by default when you turn on MCP; writing and execution require administrator approval.
• WordPress Abilities API support: Fourteen tools are available on WordPress 6.9+.
• Runtime PHP error protection: Track snippet errors and automatically disable snippets with fatal errors. Protection has also been added to the standalone Functionality Plugin.

In other news, WPCodeBox has made improvements to saving, revisions, snippet execution, as well as improving compatibility with other third-party plugins.
