Aheadworks Switches To Subscription Model
Aheadworks just announced that they are switching to a subscription-based model on 1 February 2022. This means that all Magento 2 extensions will only be available with subscription to support and upgrades.
New Subscription Model
The benefits for both sides are quite obvious. Customers with active subscriptions will get with regular M2 extension updates, full support, and other additional services, including installation and configuration services. Aheadworks, on the other hand, is returning to a sustainable business model.
Customers who decide against a subscription (or cancel a purchased subscription) can still use the already downloaded version of the extension such as Help Desk Ultimate, Gift Card, Blog, Smart One Step Checkout, and B2B Extension Suite for instance. However, you are not entitled to support and updates for these extensions anymore.
Subscriptions come with a cancel-anytime policy and can easily be managed via your personal Aheadworks account.
