BigCommerce Page Builder

As the name suggests, the page builder is a new visual editing tool that allows online merchants to easily create and edit site content – without any coding required.

Simply use the easy-to-use drag & drop editor to create and manage storefront content. You can use text, images, videos, banners, carousels, and even product lists. There’s no need to hire a developer anymore if you want to update your online store with fresh, engaging content.

It comes with a whole range of different drag & drop content blocks aka widgets that serve a wide array of needs and use cases including:

  • Hero Banners
  • Carousels
  • Product Listings
  • Videos
  • HTML Blocks
  • Spacers

Shopify currently only has drag-and-drop functionality for the homepage of a storefront. However, with BigCommerce you customize your entire site including the home page, product pages, category pages, cart pages, and more.

With the preview mode you can easily check out how your store will look on different devices such as desktop, tablet, and mobile. Finally, the admin bar allows you to easily get back into the page builder whenever you need to. You’ll find it at the top of your live site.
