Job Boardly: New Offline Mode, Team Notification Settings & IndexNow

Nelson from Job Boardly has just released a new offline mode, team notification settings and IndexNow support for the no-code job board builder SaaS.

Let’s take a look at what’s new in Job Boardly:

• Offline Mode: You can now switch your job board to offline mode. Previously, boards were public from the moment they were created. Now, however, you can take your board offline via the ‘Site Status’ page in your settings and make it live again whenever you are ready. While your board is offline, visitors will see a short holding page and search engines will stop crawling your pages. Candidates will also not be able to browse or apply. You can bring the site back online at any time.
• Team Notification Settings: You can now select which team members should receive each type of operational email. Notifications are split into two categories: ‘Job’ and ‘Billing’. The Job category covers new job drafts, posted jobs and reported jobs, while the Billing category covers subscription, membership and product purchase activity. This means that a manager or editor can receive job emails without being promoted to admin. Every team member can also manage their own notifications in their account settings and opt out of emails they don’t need.
• IndexNow: Now, your job board can notify Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver the moment something changes, rather than waiting for a crawler to come past. Previously, a new job would remain invisible until a search engine found it. With IndexNow, you can submit a job the moment you publish it. It’s free and unlimited, unlike Google’s Indexing API which has a daily cap. It covers everything on your board, not just new jobs. Jobs, blog posts, landing pages, and custom pages are all submitted as they are published, edited, expire, or are deleted. Google submissions now run through the same system. A submission log shows every submission in plain English. If something fails, it tells you what went wrong and what to do. IndexNow is available to all boards, but nothing will be submitted until you enable it. First, your job board needs a custom domain.
