The AI chatbot feature is an enhancement to LiveAgent’s customer service platform that allows visitors to interact with an AI-powered bot trained with your data before connecting with a human agent. This feature requires integration with FlowHunt and works through existing chat buttons, eliminating the need for additional widgets.
When a chat starts, the system creates a ticket in LiveAgent, with each message from the visitor and the chatbot recorded separately. Support agents can monitor active chatbot conversations in the Chats Overview section, where chatbot interactions are prominently displayed below human agent chats.
The LiveAgent system enables smooth transitions between chatbot and human agents, while maintaining a complete conversation history for both parties. Visitors have the flexibility to request human assistance after the chatbot has provided a predetermined number of responses, although they may have to wait in a queue if agents are busy.
For added convenience, visitors can either use a dedicated button to request human assistance or directly ask the chatbot to connect them to an agent, making the system both flexible and user-friendly.
