Spaces Engine For BuddyBoss Rolls Out Widgets

The Spaces Engine developers just introduced three new widgets to their all-in-one directory plugin for BuddyBoss which will be released next week. This is ‘Phase One’ for a whole set of new widgets and utilities for your Spaces.

Opening Hours Widget

In the smart Work Hours or Opening Hours widget, you can set a range of hours per day, blocks of hours per day, open all day, closed all day, etc. You can even inform your customers and members that your Space will close in 5 minutes or open in 30 minutes.

Social Networks Widget

This widget includes all of your company’s social networks, including Instagram, Tik Tok, and Twitch, to grow your social media following.

Contact Form Widget

When Spaces are used publicly, you can allow non-logged-in users to contact Spaces owners via email using the contact form.

This widget is integrated with Contact Form 7 and is 100% customizable. Thus, you can add any form you want, using all the possibilities of this WordPress form plugin. They have plans to integrate with other third-party form plugins such as Elementor forms and Gravity Forms for instance.

What’s More?

In May, they plan to create a new set for including Map & Address, Review Slider and About widgets. There is an exciting reason for the conversion of the current Spaces features to widgets. They are currently working on a new “flex layout” for Spaces Engine! There will be a full-width cover and the Spaces activity feed will have a left and right sidebar.

They are also working hard to ensure compatibility with the new BuddyBoss 2.0 update, which was officially released at the end of April.

They have more exciting new features planned for this quarter, including Custom Fields, Advanced Filtering, BuddyBoss Groups integration, and BuddyBoss Forums integration. Spaces will be able to create and manage forums. Stay tuned!
